چکیده
In this article, a full-car prototype of the recently proposed mechatronic suspension, series active variable geometry suspension (SAVGS), is developed for on-road driving experimental proof concept, aiming to be adopted by original equipment manufacturers as an alternative solution fully suspensions. Particularly, mechanical modifications are performed both corners front double-wishbone production car with single link attached upper ends spring–damper units, while rear remain in (passive) configurations. The involve innovatively designed parts enable desired performance improvements maintaining ride harshness at conventional levels. A real-time embedded system further primarily implement power supply, data acquisition, and measurements vehicle dynamics-related variables, robust control application comfort road holding enhancement, which based on derived linearized model dynamics newly synthesized H-infinity scheme. results obtained from experiments essential agreement numerical simulation also produced. Overall, SAVGS demonstrates promising average 3 dB attenuation (or equivalently 30% reduction) chassis vertical acceleration around human-sensitive frequencies (2–5 Hz), compared passive system. More importantly, indicates practicality solution, retrofit real achieved simple modifications, compact actuator packaging, small mass increment (21.5 kg increase respect vehicle), limited usage (an value 134 W dc batteries Class D random road), acceptable economic cost.

Reducing Harmful Effects Of Road Excitations On Human Health By Designing Car Active Suspension Systems
I. Abstract Nowadays people are strongly dependent on cars for doing their tasks, but they usually are not aware of hazards which are awaiting them. For instance, since people travel with cars, their human bodies undergo in fatigue, restlessness, and sometimes health problems. Human body reaction under external vibration depends on the amplitude, frequency, and acceleration of the applied exter...
متن کاملUsing Car Semi-Active Suspension Systems To Decrease Undesirable Effects Of Road Excitations On Human Health
I. Abstract People daily use their cars for various reasons. This daily traveling also has some disadvantages. For instance, when a car passes a road excitation, the vertical acceleration caused by it may unfavorably affect human health. In this paper, a quarter-car model with semi-active suspension system is considered and three different control approaches (optimal control, fuzzy control, opt...
متن کاملMotorcycle control by variable geometry rear suspension
This work is about controlling the geometry of the rear suspension to reduce cornering weave oscillations associated with high performance motorcycles operating at high speeds. The main lateral oscillations in two-wheeled vehicles are “wobble” and “weave”. The wobble mode is a steering oscillation whose frequency is normally in the range 6− 9 Hz and varies little with speed. The weave mode is a...
متن کاملAdaptive B-Spline Based Neuro-Fuzzy Control for Full Car Active Suspension System
The main role of a car suspension system is to improve the ride comfort and road holding. The traditional spring-damper suspension is currently being replaced by either a semi-active or active suspension system, because, passive suspension system cannot give better ride comfort and handling property. In order to improve the capability of active suspension systems, a robust Adaptive B-spline Neu...
متن کاملCloud-Aided State Estimation of A Full-Car Semi-Active Suspension System
In this work, we investigate a state estimation problem for a full-car semi-active suspension system. To account for the complex calculation and optimization problems, a vehicleto-cloud-to-vehicle (V2C2V) scheme is utilized. Moving horizon estimation is introduced for the state estimation system design. All the optimization problems are solved in a remotely-embedded agent with high computationa...
